A Lady Talk (11)

A Lady Talk (10)

Multiple Reasons to Live

Going to work today's morning, watching people all around, suddenly I got struck by
the Multiplicity.
The multiplicity of human beings, of their looks, their characters, the ways they walk and talk, the things they have in mind, their dreams, their goals, fears, joy, loves, their life philosophy....
And the only common thing they will always share is their final goal- the Death.
And there are only two ways to live Your life-
to pack it with utter triviality or make it full of sense!
You choose!

No words ...

There's something quieter than sleep
Within this inner room!
It wears a sprig upon its breast --
And will not tell its name.
.
Some touch it, and some kiss it --
Some chafe its idle hand --
It has a simple gravity
I do not understand!
.
I would not weep if I were they --
How rude in one to sob!
Might scare the quiet fairy
Back to her native wood!
.
While simple-hearted neighbors
Chat of the "Early dead" --
We -- prone to periphrasis
Remark that Birds have fled!
.
(Emily Dickinson)

.

.
Jest coś cichszego niźli sen
W tym środkowym pokoju.
Na piersi ma gałązkę -
Przemilcza imię swoje.
.
Niektórzy dotkną, ucałują,
Rozetrą bezwładne dłonie
Tej siły przyciągania
Nie rozumiem, nie pojmę!
.
Nie mogłabym płakać jak oni -
Szloch może być obrazą!
Spłoszą cichą wróżkę i umknie
Do swych rodzinnych lasów.
.
Gdy prostoduszni sąsiedzi
Gawędzą o "zmarłej przedwcześnie",
My - skorzy do peryfrazy -
Mówimy, że ptaki pierzchły.
.
.
.

'Tis not that Dying hurts us so --
'Tis Living -- hurts us more --
But Dying -- is a different way --
A Kind behind the Door --
.
The Southern Custom -- of the Bird --
That ere the Frosts are due--
Accepts a better Latitude --
We -- are the Birds -- that stay.
.
The Shrivers round Farmers' doors --
For whose reluctant Crumb --
We stipulate -- till pitying Snows
Persuade our Feathers Home.
.
(Emily Dickinson)
.
.
Nie to, że Umieranie boli
Bardziej niż Życie - na pewno
Boli jednak inaczej- to Ból,
Który dzieje się za Drzwiami - na Zewnątrz
.
- To - Obyczaj Popołudniowy - Ptaka,
Który leci ku cieplejszym Rajom
Jeszcze zanim Mróz ściśnie
- gdy my - To te Ptaki, które - zostają
.
-Które drżą pod wrotami Zagrody
I czekają na niechętny Okruch
-Póki Śniegi litościwe - Upierzeniu
-Nie przemówią wreszcie do rozsądku
.
.
My friend's mum died last night.
No words to convey...

February Indeed

There's an old polish saying "Idzie luty podkuj buty", which in a free translation means that in February you MUST get yourself warm shoes. I thought that in today global-warming-effect- world that folk proverb is simply out of date. I was wrong- it's minus 20 degrees. But on the other hand, there is a beautiful sun on the cloudless sky. Well, You can't have everything.

India Arie

When You're walking to work on such gloomy Tuesday morning, people in their cars rushing without reason, and there's India Arie in Your ears, loud enough to cut You off from the all- around- noise, then there's nothing else You can do.
You simply have to let the music flow and take you to those magical places.
The lyrics give you power for the whole day. "Private party", "There's hope" (from the album Testimony: Vol. 1, Life & Relationship) - notes and tunes of positivity to celebrate Yourself and cherish all You have.
And You know, it's a great and important thing to know how to live the life You have.
I bet india knows it better than many of us.
Go ahead and Enjoy! It's really worth it!
(few quotes from India Arie amazing album)
.
All my life
I've been looking for
Somebody else
To make me whole
But I had to learn the hard way
True love began with me
This is not ego or vanity
I'm just celebrating me
.
Back when I had a little
I thought that I needed a lot
A little was over rated,
but a lot was a little too complicated
You see-Zero didn't satisfy me
A million didn't make me happy
That's when I learned a lesson
That it's all about your perception

Provoking Myself

I dreamt of hugging that made me shiver
I dreamt of sucking that made me blush
I dreamt of licking that made me give her
the whole small prudish world of mine
.
And then I woke up and right beside me
There was she lying stark naked, so pleased
And realised it wasn't just dreaming
And here I go- a totally new Me.

Beat it!

It' foggy, it's gloomy, the snow looks like shit. Feels like London (no offence). The time ticks slowly: two seconds forward, one second back. In such moments I'd love to be overworked!

A Valentine Song

Oh, I wished that Chris Botti played me that song on the Valentine's Day.

Delight.

"In a one horse sleigh..."

A beautiful day today- the sunny weather and simply having fun with friends, riding in a one horse sleigh for the first time, drinking Krupnik (a vodka with honey and spices- sweet), sausages done over the warm fire, beautiful landscapes!
Few photos taken by Leszek B.

Bathroom Habits

Now, this is something ...... totally ridiculous!

What Your Bathroom Habits Say About You

You are very independent and self-centered. You don't solve other people's problems - and you don't expect them to solve yours.

You spend a lot on clothes, and you tend to be a very dresser. However, it's hard for you to throw away trendy clothes when they go out of style.

You have the perfect blend of confidence and class. You're proud of who you are - but you don't broadcast it.

In relationships, you are practical and realistic. You have a romantic side, but you only let it out when it's appropriate.

Overemotional Me

Sometimes I wake up in the morning with an overemotional attitude towards the life.
It's either bad or good. Of course I like better the last one.
The life seems to be pure satisfaction then.
Subconcious connection with the world.
Good music in my ears
peace in my inner self
balance in my steps
my space!
.
Today I feel great!

And as far as I'm concerned
That's not at all good omen

Drawer Baby

A Drawer Baby sleeps in the drawer
A very little then it must be
And I imagine it's very convenient
To shut the drawer when the cry begins

Insatiability

The constant feeling of insatiability- the search for things that'll fill my life. I suffer from the feeling of the time flying each second and each breath. The places to see, people to meet, knowledge to gain, fun to have.
Whenever I stop, the illusion of the peace and fullfilment that I thought I found, starts to crack. And it's beginning all over again- the run, the sniffing for the better, the longin for the unobtainable. That constant rush within myself! Always grasping for more...
Will it ever stop?
Do I want it stop?
Ever?

Renee

Searching for some sassy music of genious trumpeter Chris Botti I encountered an amazing girl- Renee Olstead. Young, sweet, innocent and incredibly talented !
Check this out- You won't regret.

Here is Renee's Olstead website where You can hear few songs from her debut album (released when she was 15 years old).
.
"Pennies from Heaven"
.
Every time it rains, it rains pennies from heaven
Don't you know each cloud contains pennies from heaven?
You'll find your fortune's fallin' all over the town
Be sure that your umbrella is upside down
.
Trade them for a package of sunshine and flowers
If you want the things you love, you must have showers
So, when you hear it thunder, don't run under a tree
There'll be pennies from heaven for you and me
.
(music Arthur Johnston, lyrics Johnny Burke)
.
Lyrics to cheer You up- and so You can sing along with Renee.
